Outta Space

Can you steal the secret files from Astralix and find out what they mean?

Outta Space is a binary choices game that will test your attention and memory, set in the aesthetical retro environment.

Game supports Mouse, Touchscreen, Keyboard and Gamepad controls.

It simulates Cursor controls for all type of inputs. 

All explanations on how to play are in the game in both the story form and separately as documentation.

Gameplay

All you gotta do in OuttaSpace.exe is sort through files by either choosing to:

DELETE - removes a file from the disk.

KEEP - keeps a file on the disk. 

More files are being constantly downloaded on to the disk and you don't want it to fill up, because it damages the computer. So try to free up space by deleting files whenever possible.

Hotkeys

• Left Arrow / D-Pad Left - Delete
• Right Arrow / D-Pad Right - Keep
• Enter / X - Click
• R / Start Button - Restart PC
• Z / Left Shoulder Button - Hit PC

Each file contains the following data:

FILE

File Name and it's extension. e.g. "UrM0M.mov", UrM0M being a name and .mov is extension format

TYPE

Shows type of the file and who owns the file (System or User). 

• User files show your current name
• System files must NEVER be deleted. 

DATE 

Shows the date the file was created. 

SIZE

Shows the file size. You should always prioritize deleting bigger files whenever possible.

PATH

This one is mostly aesthetics. Though could also help to determine files, but there are way easier ways to do that.

Corrupted files must ALWAYS be deleted and you can ignore note requests on them.

Corrupted files look different from healthy files, glitchify the music and sometimes show incorrect information in the File, Type and Date fields.

If you keep healthy files while sorting, there's a fair chance they become corrupted after so don't be too afraid to quickly sort through the small junk. It will be easier to delete it after.

STICKY NOTES

Colored Notes show special leads AI has on the files. 

If you Keep the file that matches the description that note request disappears.

If you Delete the file then you would hit the PC in anger.

There are 4 types of notes:

• Yellow - Type (check with file Icon & TYPE Field). 
• Green - Format (check with File Extension in the FILE Field)
• Blue - First Letter (check the first letter of the name in the FILE field)
• Red - Year (check with the date in the DATE field)

They always appear in the same side as in the example picture. 

*Grey notes are just for lulz. They don't mean anything gameplay-wise.

Complete Note Requests, fill up the special secret file bar and download the secret file once it fills. You only have to do this 8 times, but it takes more note requests with each file. 

Each Secret Files you download brings you closer to the truth, unlocks upgrade for your computer and adds some c00l items to the desk. 

If you get 8 upgrades - you're set for some scorechasing if that's your thing.
